Melissa here, age 24, college graduate (Writing), witch (love me some pointed hats), and general weirdo.

I'm something of a geek...okay, a lot of a geek. I've been known to go into fits of joy about anything and everything, including but not limited to: Doctor Who, Supernatural, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Peter Pan, Avatar: The Last Airbender and Avatar: Legend of Korra, Yu Yu Hakusho, Fullmetal Alchemist, Saiyuki, Danny Phantom, Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean, actual pirates, mythology, swords, the Monkey King, tea, books, witchcraft, and the occasional cute animal.

I've also been a writer practically my whole life, though whether I'm a good one is up to you. Occasionally I'll post snippets from my work.

Rest here a while, read if you will, and enjoy.

More people should appreciate Tamora Pierce’s Circle of Magic series.

It has three female leads and the fourth is a male who is romantically interested in NONE OF THE GIRLS.

Adult female role models abound.

The only romantic subplot in the series is not shoehorned in for the sake of a happy ending AND is unconventional.

And, best of all, it has Trisana Chandler, one of my favorite characters of all time.
